UPDATE: Trump on China and Taiwan

Trump accepted a “congratulatory phone call” from Taiwan’s President on Friday.  As expected, China protested this perceived breach of the long standing U.S. One China policy.  The policy has been in place since Nixon opened relations with China.  In a nutshell, China claims sovereignty over Taiwan.  Taiwan disagrees. Where Did the Manufacturing Jobs Go?

Manufacturing used to provide 25% of all U.S. jobs in the 1960’s.  Since then its declined to less than 10%.  screen-shot-2016-12-04-at-2-17-39-pm

What We Should Know

In the aftermath of the 2016 election, Scottie Nells Hughes, a surrogate for President Elect Trump, declared “There are no such thing as facts”.    This is disturbing and if it is true, does it not undermine a core principle of Thomas Jefferson?
